fees

For information about the fees I charge for initial assessments and therapy sessions, please feel free to contact me. I provide written documentation when you contact me, and once you have read the T&C’s and Practice Literature I can then offer a free of charge thirty minute video call consultation for you to ask any questions. Initial assessment requires payment before the session for which you will receive an invoice. For therapy sessions thereafter you are invoiced after your sessions.

Initial Assessment

This process usually takes up to one and a half hours, involving both the client and their family. I will carry out formal, informal and observational assessments, and make a communication diagnosis. All aspects of speech and language will be assessed: Including the receptive and expressive skills of speech and language as well as reading and writing.

Initial assessment findings can be written up as a formal report should you require this additional service. Should other parties need copies of the report, this is at the client’s discretion. Information with regards to initial assessment will not be divulged to any parties without the client’s consent.

It is important during the initial assessment to address the expectations of both the client and their family and set goals for the therapy.

Therapy Sessions

If after the initial assessment you wish to proceed with speech and language therapy, we will address the goals you have identified and plan the amount of therapy required. We will continually review your progress and the benefits of this to your individual needs throughout the rehabilitation process. The first therapy session usually includes an education programme for clients and those closest to them to provide specific information about stroke, their communication diagnosis and the evidence base for the speech and language therapy they will receive.

Cancellation Policy

Cancellation Fees are Provided with full T&C’s on request.

Payments & Invoicing

You will be invoiced at the end of every therapy session. Payment is also required at this time and you will be given a receipt of payment. You are encouraged to keep copies of your invoices filed should you need to claim costs back through for example,medical insurance companies.

  • Therapy sessions may be terminated if payments do not follow treatments.

  • Therapy sessions will not re-commence until the last session has been paid in full.

Mileage and Travel

Details of Charges are available by request.

You have a number of options, at different price points. Home Visits and Online Therapy sessions are both available, however home visits can involve a waiting list. Online sessions do not have a travel fee added, home visits do.. Since the pandemic and since the geographical demands on specialist services are wide, I provide most of my clinics online. This has proved most effective over the past five years of clinical practice..

PAYMENT OPTIONS

You can pay by Bank Transfer, Cheque or Cash. The most popular choice is bank transfer. and details are provided. A strict rule applies to payment following treatment.
